Our client is a unique and market leading services group based in Brisbane CBD. They are now looking for a Assistant Accountant to join their Finance team during a period of exciting growth and development.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations (payroll, bank, intercompany, fuel tax credits), and variance analysis for financial reports.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and manage depreciation.
• Track costs for projects and operations, and support invoicing, accounts receivable, and fuel tax credit claims.
• Prepare audit documentation and participate in finance projects, identifying process improvements.

• CA/CPA qualified or studying; Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, general ledger, and month-end close.
• Detail-oriented with proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero) and Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Able to meet deadlines under pressure and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
