Our client, a major retail organisation headquartered in Brisbane, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to drive the financial stability and global growth of their business. What You’ll Do:
- Develop and execute robust financial strategies that support the company’s rapid global growth objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of the finance function, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, cash and treasury management, payroll, and cost reporting.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team to support global operations.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to C-Suite members, enabling data-driven decisions that drive profitability and expansion.
- Prepare clear and actionable financial presentations for the Board of Directors.
- Implement scalable financial systems, processes, and controls to meet the demands of international growth.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements across multiple territories.
- Partner with other departments to align financial goals with business operations, optimising cost structures and profitability.
- Monitor global market trends and assess risks and opportunities to support business strategy.
- A minimum of 5+ years in financial management, with 3+ years in a senior finance role (ideally CFO) within the retail sector.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire finance teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- A deep understanding of retail financials, including P&L management, cash flow forecasting, inventory management, and sales analysis.
- A track record of developing and executing financial strategies that support rapid growth, including international expansion.
- Experience managing fluctuating cash flows in retail, with the ability to adapt to seasonal and sales-driven changes.
- Strong capability to work with C-suite executives and Board members, providing actionable financial insights and recommendations.
- Knowledge of global financial operations, including compliance, multi-currency management, and international tax regulations.
- Familiarity with implementing scalable financial systems and processes that align with business growth.
