A growing Aussie business with a strong presence across the ANZ region - they are seeking a strong Finance Manager to take ownership of all reporting for the businses, and overseeing general ledger accounting - managing a small team in Sydney.
Chartered (audit or business advsiory) training will be regarded highly but is non-essential.
The role
Reporting into the Financial Controller, this is an excellent, broad role that covers both technical accounting and general ledger accounting. Including -
- Responsible for the month end process of all entities including: month end journals posting, accounts classifications, credit card and expenses reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliations as well as investigate and resolve any anomalies
- Prepare monthly management pack, including sales, variance analysis and commentary
- Prepare all monthly, quarterly and annually taxes, including GST, FBT, Income Tax and Transfer Pricing
- Support and manage the budgeting and 24-month rolling forecasting process
- Prepare Cashflow reporting
- Drive the team in preparation of an accurate audit including consolidation of financial statements
- Leading Finance team through company transformation
- Support continuous business processes and systems improvement
- Implement internal controls policies and procedures and ensure adherence to accounting standards and best practice guidelines
- Manage a small finance team and establish a proactive and diligent culture
About you
- Qualified accountant (CPA/CA)
- Experienced finance manager
- At least 12 months in people management capacity
- Experience working in a medium to large sized business, being exposed to strict reporting requirements
- Audit training would be desirable but not essential (Open to first movers at the Senior Manager level)
- Is an exceptional communicator and has a natural flair in influencing stakeholders at all levels with strong interpersonal skills
