About the Role:
Are you a seasoned HR professional seeking a challenging and impactful role within a dynamic and growing organisation? We are seeking a strategic HR Business Partner to drive HR initiatives and support operations in a fast-paced environment. This role combines operational and strategic HR responsibilities, focusing on employee engagement, talent management, and ensuring a thriving workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership: Partner with business leaders to align HR strategies with organisational goals and foster a high-performance culture.
- Employee Relations: Provide expert advice on performance management, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Workplace Health & Safety: Lead and implement health and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with legislation and fostering a safe workplace.
- Policy Development: Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance.
- Talent Acquisition: Assist the talent acquisition team, where required, with recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and culture.
- Compliance & Reporting: Monitor employment law updates and ensure HR practices meet legislative requirements. Prepare and deliver insightful HR and safety reports to senior management.
- Engagement & Retention: Drive initiatives to promote a collaborative and inclusive culture, enhancing employee engagement and retention across teams.
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- A degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Ideally 5+ years of experience in an HR Advisory or a HRBP role.
- Proven knowledge of employment law and compliance.
- Experience managing workplace health and safety programs.
- Strong strategic and operational HR expertise.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach to challenges.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in Agri or similar industry advantageous

The role is primarily based on site approximately 2 hours west of Toowoomba/3.5 hours west of Brisbane. Candidates based in Brisbane will be considered with the expectation of regular travel to the feedlot (approximately 2-3 days fortnightly). Occasional travel to northern Queensland may also be required.
