About the Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will play a crucial role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for driving business performance and commercial outcomes through insightful financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Developing and delivering financial management and budgetary reports with relevant insights and analysis.
• Coordinating budgeting and forecasting processes, providing sound financial advice and commentary.
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to staff in budgetary control and financial reporting.
• Review and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support the Financial Controller and broader Finance team with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a fast-paced commercial environment, particularly in budgeting and financial reporting.
• CPA or equivalent professional membership (or working towards completion).
• Proficiency in enterprise financial systems, with experience in TechnologyOne highly desirable.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data effectively.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide financial training and advice to non-financial stakeholders.

• A valid “C” class driver’s licence.
