The Opportunity
Perigon Group is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded and growing organisation within the financial services sector to recruit a newly created Office Manager position.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Office Coordinator, Administrator or Office Manager who enjoys being at the heart of a business, thrives on variety and takes genuine pride in creating an exceptional workplace experience.
With a growing team, ambitious plans for the future and a collaborative People & Culture function, this organisation is looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day office environment while bringing fresh ideas, initiative and a genuine passion for people.
Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you'll have the autonomy to make this role your own, working closely with stakeholders across the business and playing an important part in shaping the employee experience as the organisation continues to evolve.
The Role
This is a broad and varied position combining office management, facilities coordination, employee engagement and People & Culture support.
No two days will look quite the same, and you'll be someone who enjoys balancing the practical elements of running an office with opportunities to contribute to broader business initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership of the day-to-day operations of the Brisbane office, ensuring a welcoming, professional and well-organised environment.
- Managing relationships with suppliers, contractors and building management, coordinating maintenance, facilities and workplace requirements.
- Supporting the People & Culture team with employee onboarding, internal communications, administration and wider initiatives.
- Coordinating workplace health and safety requirements, including emergency procedures, workplace inspections and relevant documentation.
- Bringing creativity and enthusiasm to employee engagement initiatives, team celebrations, quarterly events and internal activities.
- Coordinating meeting rooms, catering, corporate photoshoots, workshops and other business events.
- Managing office supplies, purchasing, invoices and general workplace administration.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, streamline office operations and enhance the overall employee experience.
- Building strong relationships across the business and becoming a trusted point of contact for employees and stakeholders.
About You
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being the person who keeps everything running smoothly.
You'll be organised, proactive and confident working autonomously, with the ability to juggle competing priorities and communicate effectively with a broad range of personalities.
Importantly, you'll be someone who doesn't believe any task is beneath them. Whether you're coordinating an internal event, resolving a facilities issue or supporting the People & Culture team, you'll bring the same level of care, professionalism and attention to detail.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Previous experience in office management, office coordination, administration or a similarly broad support role.
- Exceptional organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate what needs to be done.
- A confident, approachable communication style and the ability to build relationships at all levels of a business.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with the confidence to take ownership and see things through.
- Experience coordinating suppliers, facilities, internal events or workplace services.
- A genuine interest in employee experience, workplace culture and People & Culture initiatives.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
- A flexible, hands-on approach and the ability to remain calm and adaptable when priorities change.
Experience within a professional services, corporate or financial services environment would be advantageous, although attitude, initiative and the ability to connect with people will be equally important.
What's On Offer?
This is an opportunity to join an established yet growing organisation where your contribution will be visible, valued and genuinely make a difference.
You'll enjoy:
- A newly created position with the opportunity to shape the role and make it your own.
- Direct exposure to the Chief People Officer and the opportunity to work closely with an experienced People & Culture team.
- A varied and engaging remit combining office operations, employee experience and broader business support.
- A growing business offering stability, momentum and opportunities for longer-term professional development.
- A people-focused environment where initiative, collaboration and fresh ideas are encouraged.
If you're someone who loves creating an organised, welcoming and engaging workplace, enjoys being the go-to person and is looking for a role you can truly take ownership of, we'd love to hear from you.
