The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join the finance team based in Brisbane’s CBD. In this role, you will be part of a team leading financial reporting for multiple portfolio companies, supporting key stakeholders, investors, and operational teams. 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely month-end and quarterly financial reports.
• Conduct variance analyses and ensure operational activities are reflected in financial statements.
• Manage year-end requirements and coordinate with auditors.
• Support operating budgets, forecasts, cash flow management, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review payment batches and maintain strong internal controls.
• Identify process improvements for internal controls, efficiency, and cost management.
• Collaborate with operational managers and senior leadership to deliver high-quality financial insights and recommendations.

• Qualifications: Tertiary qualification with full CA or CPA membership highly desirable (or part qualified).
• Experience: Strong experience in financial and management accounting.
• Skills: Superior numeracy, attention to detail, and financial management skills. 
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvements.
