Perigon Group is proud to be partnered with a global investment firm to recruit a Senior Accountant for their Brisbane-based finance team.

This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a sophisticated investment environment, supporting their market leading investment team in achieving optimal financial outcomes.

As Financial Accountant, you will be a key player in the finance function, working closely with the Head of Finance to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across investment funds and corporate entities.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Full-cycle accounting for investment funds and corporate entities, including management accounts preparation, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Managing prepayments, accruals, and variance analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Preparation and lodgement of BAS, payroll tax, and FBT returns for multiple entities.
• Supporting income tax return administration and ensuring compliance.
• Assisting with investor updates and taxation statements, providing key financial insights.
• Supporting expense management and process improvement initiatives.
• Liaising with tax advisors to optimise value, and assist the coordination of investor services.
• Supporting external audits and system upgrades, contributing to financial process enhancements and projects. 

• CA/CPA qualified or on track for completion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyse complex financial data.
• Experience in business advisory or taxation is beneficial, as is current experience as a qualified Financial/Investment Accountant or similar. 
• A strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Able to meet reporting deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
