    Our client, a leading Australian consumer goods specialist, are looking to hire a Senior Payroll Officer for a 12-month Mat Leave Contract. This would be suitable for an immediately available Payroll Officer looking to step up or an immediately available Senior Payroll Officer.


    The Role

    This  1 2 -month contract  will be suitable for an  immediately available  or soon to be immediately available Senior Payroll Officer, who will report directly and collaborate with the Payroll Manager.

    Duties include but are not limited to: 

    • Accurately process payroll on a weekly basis for all employees.
    • Maintain and update payroll records, including employee data, salary information, and deductions.
    • Calculate and process leave entitlements, overtime, and other allowances.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant awards, agreements, and legislation.
    • Prepare and submit payroll reports, including superannuation, PAYG, and other statutory requirements.
    • Manage payroll queries and provide support to employees regarding payroll-related matters.
    • Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
    • Assist in the preparation of end-of-year payroll processes, including payment summaries and annual leave reconciliations.
    • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.

    Skills and Experience:
    • Experience with Award interpretation (required)
    • High volume and multi entity payroll processing experience
    • 1-2 years' experience within a commercial business. 
    • Experience using large systems.
    • Experience within consumer goods.
    • Intermediate experience with Excel
    • Eager to learn.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Ability to work autonomously. 
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
